This is not a fair, this is not an exhibition: that is L’Antichambre. The title should not be viewed as an attempt to insinuate nihilistic way, but rather as an endeavor to institute critical thinking. L’Antichambre introduces a philosophical fair share discussing the topic: ‘if the word is not the thing‘ we do the thing and ‘if the map is not the territory‘, we draw the map. An antechamber is a chamber that serves as a waiting room and entrance to a larger room. It's a Cabinet which provides a space for a host to prepare or conduct private business or to tell guests about an event before they experience it. This play ont the words expresses our interest in considering the problems that exist with how art is presented or put on display within the setting of a specific space such as an intimate space. L’Antichambre is an invitation to question the modes of experience around art and epitomizes experimentations with dissolving the delineation between art, artists, curators and connoisseurs. L’Antichambre sounds as a composition involved by several voices many paths . . .
